Can't Get Key Out Of Ignition Camaro

Behind this is the metal plunger.

Can't get key out of ignition camaro. If this does not work rock the steering wheel as you jiggle the key in the ignition. Turn the key toward the accessory position while keeping the steering wheel turned. I used the Camaro solutiontook out 3 screws 1 under the wheel and 2 on either side of the wheel when you turn it to 6 oclock and took the bottom panel off to expose under where the key goes.

Most car with headers have it disabled and if the lever at the bottom of the column isnt wired up all the way the collar at the top of the column isnt turned counter-clockwise all the way and you cant get the key out. FIX- Remove plastic cover on steering column. Sometimes you just cant get the key out.

Clean the key if that dont work you may have an open short or broken wire in the orange jacket of the ignition key switch. 3 times now. Here are ways that you can get your Camaros key free.

Disconnect the harness connector and connect a matching resistor with the correct ohms of your key inline with the purple and white wires without cutting the connectors off because you may latter need them.
